Suggest an Internet Marketing or Programming Link
Link exchanges have been proven to be the best type of internet marketing that you can do. When you have links from other websites to yours, you get bonuses in the search engines. When you link to relevant and popular websites it shows that you've put time into researching your topic, thus giving you search engine placement bonuses as well.
To get links, Here is what you need to do:
- Pick your favorite search engine ( Google )
- Search for your product or service
- Visit each site and find non-competitors
- Contact each of these sites via email 3 to 5 times until they say yes. See Examples
- Give them a link, and make sure they've given you one.
Once you've traded links with 100 or so websites, you'll easily get 10,000 hits per month or more.
Nobody Will Trade Links With You?
They may be busy, or your site may not be what they want to link to:
- Keep your Popups to a minimum
- Provide Free CONTENT ( USEFUL INFORMATION ) on your website
- Make sure your site is fast and reliable
Nobody will trade links with you if you don't have anything that is interesting. The best thing you can do is to add tutorials about your products and services. People will be much more willing to give you a link if you have useful content.
How Do I Know Who To Contact?
If the information isn't posted on the website you probably don't want trade links with them. But if you really want to trade with a particular web site, you can look up there whois information. It should have a fax number, working email and telephone.
Contact them respectfully, politely, and offer them a full paragraph to get a permanent link somewhere on their site.

I have Links, but It's Not Helping!
MAKE SURE that if you get a link you can find it from browsing their homepage. This doesn't mean that you need a link on their homepage, but you must be able to click and find your link. If you can't, nobody else will either, including the search engines!
What about Link Farms?
They are a waste of time. You need real sites, with real content to link to you. A website full of links with nothing to sell and no information won't help you at all.
